Rationale
Because I work in a school, I was inspired to make a video targeted toward elementary-aged children. In my school, we have been emphasizing the importance of kindness and friendship.

With so much hatred in the world, we believe it is important to teach (and remind) kids of the importance of being kind.

I chose to use a classic moral story, "The Proud Rose," to demonstrate these values. In this story, a rose bullies a cactus because of his appearance. In the end, she learns it is better to be kind than to be hateful, and the two plants become friends. As with most moral stories, the plot is simple, so I kept this simplicity in mind when making the animation. I want the kids to be able to follow along easily. I also included subtitles to encourage students to read along.
